Cassidy Janson is set to star as Tess in the West End return of Burlesque the Musical, opening in September 2026 at the brand new venue, The Arts at Marble Arch.
Based on Steven Antin’s hit film, the production will run from 12 September 2026 to 31 January 2027, with an official opening night on 23 September.
Best known for her acclaimed performances in & Juliet and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Cassidy takes on the iconic role of Tess, originally played on screen by Cher.
Speaking about the announcement, Cassidy said:
“I am beyond excited to be joining Burlesque — and in a brand-new West End theatre no less! The songs are huge, the glamour is off the charts, and the costumes are absolutely insane. The West End is not ready for this level of fabulous.”
Writer and producer Steven Antin added:
“As played by the legendary Cher, Tess became an iconic character. We are thrilled to have Cassidy lead the West End company in this pivotal role. She’s glamorous, funny, fierce, wildly talented — and she has the sass and heart that make Tess unforgettable.”
